LAX to Disneyland is 35 miles. There is actually a Disney bus that goes to the hotels.
Are there hotels near Disneyland? BWHAHAHA! Sorry, couldn't help that. There are over 20,000 rooms around Disneyland, and plans for over 2,000 more. I highly recommend the HoJo (Howard Johnson) Anaheim, or the Candy Cane Inn, for their close location and reasonable prices.
As for "cheap" passes, there really aren't any huge discounts. Right now you can get a "2-fer" pass, where you can visit both parks on different days for the price of a single ticket. However, it's only open to SoCal residents. You can also get Disney tickets at a discount from AAA. Check out Mouseplanet for a summary of ticket prices:

(the ticket info is at the bottom).
Have fun!
I'm with Obviousman and his advice to you. Here are some links with information on the shuttle service from LAX to Disneyland resort area. This is your best and cheapest option.
disneyworld in florida? or disneyland in anaheim, california?
and you can check to see what promotions they are holding on their websites. They usually have a package where you can get your park pass, hotel and so on for a cheap price.
Also check costco, they tend to have some nice packages as well for both!
Good luck and hug tigger for me :D
I presume you mean 'Disneyland' instead of 'Disneyworld' as the latter is in Orlando, the former in LA, or Annaheim, really.
Between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Disneyland, the trip takes about 45-60 minutes, depending on traffic.
The first link below has everything you want to know about Disneyworld, including ratings of all of the 56 rides!!
Last but not least: on TravelTripVacation, use the featured 'Disney Hotels'-link to access to well-priced accommodation and associated deals!
Have a fun vacation!
You mean DisneyLand - DisneyWorld is in Florida.
The website for DisneyLand is: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/home/home?name=HomePage&bhcp=1
According to the website, DL is more than 30 miles from LAX. I am not familiar with the area so I don't know how long that would take to drive it.
Tickets to the park are sold on the website at at the park.
The website also lists on-site hotels run by Disney. There are many other hotels around the property and you can search for them via Yahoo Travel. Search for hotels around Anaheim, CA.
Good luck!
First off I believe you mean Disneyland in California. Disney World is in Central Florida. In which case Disneyland is about an hour to an hour and a half depending on traffic it can be longer. There are plenty of hotels around Disneyland google Anaheim hotels or check travelocity.com for ideas.
Do you mean disneyland in california?
Or do you mean disneyworld in florida....
I don't know about disneyworld, but disneyland is about 1hr+ with traffic.
The surrounding hotels are okay, your best bet for a hotel is one of the four in downtown disney, which is a disney owned lot full of stores, and it is conviently next to the park(s), and near the trams for the parking structures...
