Is there a train that connects from san diego to LAX(L.A.airport)?

best way to los angles airport(LAX) from san diego by way of train?

Take Amtrak's Pacific surfliner from San Diego to Union Station in LA. Then you can catch the LAX flyaway bus out in front of the station for $5.

Easy breezy.

First take the Coaster to Oceanside station, then change to the Metrolink and ride to LA Union Station (If there is an Amtrak service that bypasses LA Union Station you can take that one; ask around first). Then from Union Station take the LA Metro to LAX/Aviation station, where you have to get onto a bus to the terminals (a very quick bus ride; this is essential because there is no train going into the airport complex). Allow at least 3-5 hours before your time of departure at LAX.

the other posters gave yoy some good answeers

there is anotther posssible this one adviods Downtown LA)

if you take Amtrak (or coaster to Oceanside then take Metrolink to the Norwalk station, there you can transfer to the Metrolink shuttle (Norwak transit) take thiss bus to Norwalk Green Line station, then Green line to Aviation station then the free lax

shuttle bus into the terminals

Yeah, Amtrak goes from SD to LA. From the LA station, you'll have to take the Flyaway shuttle, which goes directly to the airport and drops you off at any terminal.

San diego to union staion. then shuttle to the Airport. I am looking forward to the day they have a Metro Line to the Airport.

There are no trains, subways or light rail of any kind at LAX. There is a combo convoluted ways to do it for local L.A. residents and experts like MobileMark, but just do what Obviousman said.......ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE LUGGAGE....

Do what obviousman said, or you could just fly out of San Diego if that's an option.
