Luggage storage for 10 days in LAX airport?

I have 2 luggages to store in LAX (or around the airport) because I will be traveling around CA for 10 days before taking an international flight to Hong Kong where I came from.

I did my research and the 3 companies that store luggage off-site charges around $8/day. With 2 luggages for 10 days, it would end up costing me $150 for luggage storage and no matter what you say, I don't think that's reasonable at all. It would be very annoying and expensive to check in both luggage and bring them with me as I fly domestic to places so I would really want to leave them in LA. i live on my college campus but it would be closed during summer so I can't put my luggage in where I live either...

I think i will have roughly 4-6 hours between my flight arriving LAX and leaving LAX to pick up the luggage I left off in LAX. WHAT SHOULD I DO??

You might try just getting a public storage unit for one month - the small ones rent for about $70 I think. Just buy a $10 padlock there, lock it up and then go back and get it. Just make sure the storage unit's hours are the same time you'll be there for that 4 -6 hour window.

Here are the ones closest to LAX:

They advertise $1 for the first month but you won't get that if you only stay for one month. It's have the price though and getting the unit is a really quick, simple process.

Hmm... I wonder if I can set a record for the number of answers that include "supply and demand".

Looks like you have a number of options:

Pay the luggage storage company fees. Whether you think that's reasonable or not is irrelevant. That's the market rate, which is what people are willing to pay to store their luggage.

Take your luggage with you. With luggage fees, I think this might even be more expensive than storing it in LA.

Take some of your luggage with you. Leave one in LA, and take one with you.

Leave your luggage at home. (Store it in Hong Kong). Maybe it's cheaper there.

That's about it. You need to decide.

well here an idea you could send your luggage to a Fedex office (kinkos)

(some them are are open 24 hours a day)

to your self (use the hold at location) service and I believe they will hold

for 5 days and the hold at location service is free

but you have to send it fedex EXPRESS not ground

or have them sent to your hotel in Los Angeles -maybe they provide

holding service
