Have you been through LAX Airport lately? What did you think?

I have lived in LA for 50 years (all my life), so LAX is my hometown major airport. Every time I fly back into LAX from anywhere else, I am always shocked by how boring and even ugly the terminal and passenger areas are. I am embarrassed to say this is my airport. And millions of visitors pass through this airport every year. So much could be done with new colorful paint, displayed artwork and even automated billboards and such. Other airport terminals I have seen around the U. S. are always more pleasing to look at and make a good impression on visitors. I want the same at LAX. Am I alone? Anyone else notice this?

I went through the LAX Airport in July 2007. I was extremely disappointed to see how the inside of the airport looked. I was also extremely disappointed to see the LAX Airport's space age theme Restaurant's arches being remodeled. It would had been nice ro see the Restaurant's arches "as is" before the remodeling started.

By the way, I am proud to say that I was born in the state of California, in the county of Santa Clara, in the city of San José. :-)

LAX always has been awful. They give over what used to be the jewel in the crown resturant in the middle to staff. Last time I was there in 1996 the International terminal was a building site. My plane was delayed and we got vouchers for a meal, the game was to find somewhere ANYWHERE to actually get something edible. If I ever go to Southern CA again I'll fly to San Diego or SFO and get a flight to John Wayne OC instead.

LAX is a dump. I was shocked the first time I was there. My hometown airport is SeaTac. It is much nicer. O'Hare is really nice too. You'd think they could improve on that eyesore.

It is very boring considering its in LA. There are a lot of people but not enough stores. It boring, it makes you wanna get on that plane as soon as possible.

Yes I definitly agree!!!
