My bra has metal on the straps, does anybody know how LAX airport deals with that?

Small amounts of metal are not a problem (clasps, underwires, decoration, etc.).

that shouldnt go off. i fly every weekend and it has never been set off for me. sometimes i wear adidas sports pants that have all the metal buttons down the side and that doesnt even set it off.

i dont think it should matter...many women have metal on..or in their bras...they arent gonna make you take it off or anything....if your really that concerned maybe just wear a wireless sports bra...but i dont think it should matter
