Anyone know about LAX airport?

Hi there, I am travelling to Calgary via LAX w. 3 yr old. Is there anything I can do with him there? can you smoke outside terminal? and DVD's-don't want to take originals as they'll get scratched, lost etc. Can I make a copy & bring it-would be for PERSONAL use only?? any replies greatly appreciated. Want DVD's for backup in airport.

I work at lax and am not quite sure what you are asking. What are you asking about DVD's? If you want to bring your own dvd's, bring them. Put them in your carry-on. And yes you can smoke outside every terminal. As for what to do, how much time will you have between flights? Are you flying Air Canada or changing airlines? If you stay close to the gates there are restaurants and gift shops. If you leave the gate area outside security you can go to the Tom Bradley Terminal and upstairs there are a few things to do outside security. Do you want and have time to leave LAX? Do you want to go shopping at a Mall? Need to know exactly what you are asking and I will be happy to try and help you. kingsleydr60@yahoo.com

First, Nobody is going to care what is on your DVD's so don't worry about them.

Second, Qantas arrives at either Tom Bradley or Terminal 4, depending on space. LAX does have a volunteer program but it is rare to see one. Your best bet would be to get one of the Smart Carts and pile your luggage on it. Tou can either walk to Terminal 2, or take the Airline Connections shuttle. Walking would probably be easier, as the busses don't allow Smart Carts so that would be a waste of money.

Smoking is allowed outside the terminals

LAX is not very "Kid Friendly" like some of the other airports and there are no real Kid Zones. There is a semi-open area between Terminal 1 and 2 with some benches on the lower level. It is outside so you can smoke and he can sit on the bench and color or something. Good Luck and have a safe trip. If I didn't have school on Wednesday I would come down and help you myself.

Terminal two at lax is where air Canada lands, not much to do there with a three year old. I try to spend as little time there as possible. also you wont have any access to the out side once you pass through security so no smoking ( if you have a kid with you you shouldn't smoke anyway BTW)

A good place to start looking would be the official LAX website: http://www.iflylax.com/

Hope this helps.
