They all have issues, not just LAX. Sure news things skip this part as you can lose you luggage anywhere and it happens on a huge scale. There are outlet stores that sell unclaimed luggage in huge warehouses.

LAX is actually really good if you consider the number of bags they handle at that airport.
they lost mine, I was chaging planes from Houston and on my way to Sydney. My plane was 2 1/2 hours late and I only had 20 mins to make my Sydney flihjt. I only just made it and was the very last person to check in and last on the plane. My bags didn't make it but because of the short time between flights I don't really blame them. I got them back 3 days later.
I've never had a problem there, and I've changed and ended flights there a number of times.
I travel alot I have never had a problem at LAX , it is actually one of the better Airports around.
