And also, I would like to know what are the chances of seeing a B747 land at LAX? A380? How many landings per minute? Big airplanes? And is it true that, let's say the Southwest terminal is on the northern side of the airport. Will all Southwest flights land on the 2 runways to the north?
And if there's anything else you can tell me, please do!
Thanks!

And people wonder why I don't recommend Dockweiler Beach.
Imperial Hill is a good photo location. You can get good shots of airplanes. However, at the grassy spot by In-N-Out, the planes go right OVER you as you watch. You can smell (and even taste) the jet exhaust. If there's a little fog of the himidity is high, you can see the patterns the jets exhausts make and how the cool air goes over the top of the wing and condenses, making surreal patterns.
You san see 747's, but most are on the south side by Imperial Hill. A30? You would need to check the schedule. I think the A380's are only flown by QANTAS. Singapore Air might have bought one. In any case, it's pretty rate.
Southwest uses the 2 runways to the north, since their terminal is on the north side. Makes sense, doesn't it?
I usually park on the grounds of the air freight terminal on the south side of the airport on Aviation Blvd. It is across the street from the restaurant with the fighter planes on pedestals.
It is about as close to the runways you can get without breaching security.
You're weird obsession aside, I once went to Playa Del Rey beach and was treated to the sight (and sound) of an airplane taking off from LAX every 5 minutes.
Everyone should have such as experience.
