Seems no one has given you a straight answer. I will...I work at LAX and send folks to Disneyland everyday. When you arrive you are on the lower level. Get your baggage and go outside. Overhead you will see different colored signs. There are two signs that will provide transportation to Disneyland/Hotels in Anaheim. The Orange sign are our Shuttles. Supershuttle and Primetime Shuttle. Both are good and the dispatchers are right there under the Orange sign. Supershuttle person has a Blue jacket and Primetime has a red/black jacket. The other way is under the Green sign. These are the regular Disneyland buses that stop at different hotels. They run about every 30 minutes. Its very easy to get transportation from LAX to Disneyland area. A taxi would be too expensive. But if money is not a problem, take a taxi. Good luck.
there is also public transit -its not that bad from
Lax to Disneyland
and it will cost just $6.25 total
thats if you just pay $1.25 on the Green Line and $1.25
for the 460 line to Disneyland
and assuming your kids are over 5 as well (under
5 kids ride free)
or you could get a day (in July they will be $5.00 each
which is quite a bite but it will help with transfers and
for the return trip (if done in the same day)
if chose transit
you first board a Lax G Shuttle taking that
shuttle to the Green Line Aviation terminal
then buy your ticket from the Ticket vending machines
(thats $1.25 per person) take the Green line to Norwalk
(last station) then board the 460 directly to Disneyland
and pay that driver another $1.25 per person
(or you could get a day pass from the Green Line ticket
vending machine)
Taxi's would be too dear & I'd not suggest public buses.
They may do shuttle buses outside the airport exit. You get about 8-12 people on one shuttle bus & it cuts the cost down considerably.
Have a great time! :)
There are several shuttle busses to the Anaheim/Disneyland Resort Area, but I suggest you try renting a car (even though you have to deal with traffic, is the best way to get around in Southern Cal., thats what we're doing!)
you need to call the disneyland hotel and speak with the concierge there. they are most knowlegable when it comes to these things. they might have a shutle or super shuttle can pick you up as well. That what i normally recommend for people who want to travel inexpensive.
The safe way is taxi but its not cheap you can hope on the bus but that'll take all day.
Your Hotel should have a shuttle, I remember seeing Disney Shuttles when deboarding at LAX. Otherwise, look online for shuttle services, as they are a lot cheaper especially if you arrange ahead of time. Prime Shuttle was the company I always used and liked them well.
See what the Disneyland reasort recommends. I know that they make deals with some limo companies.
blue line bus system, or something like that. We use them every time,( do a search for "anaheim shuttle bus".) on google. I recommend flying into Orange County/John Wayne airport rather than LAX if you have not booked tickets yet. Way closer, cleaner, easier. Usually costs just a bit less too.
