Can i buy an airline ticket at LAX airport?

Yesterday I was going to go to mexico and my reservation wasnt processed. Someone at the travel agency where I got it from cancelled it and kept the money. Kept calling the agency to find the one who sold us the ticket and she has been gone :// I want to leave today but don't have an airline ticket, can I buy it at the LAX airport?
